timing issues

timing issues
Hello from Texas.I have given my 1982 gsl a engine transplant.After getting it to start with rats nest removed,i started experiencing accelerater bog when giving gas.the car idles well and timing is dead on,good fuel pressure as well.so i decided to reset dizzy one tooth and bingo it runs and drives but idles a little rough and i cant set timing by light .Can someone please help me,exhusted in Texas.

The bog is likely a carb issue.
Of course moving the dizzy one tooth will cause the engine to run poorly. You've just advanced or retarded the timing about 30 degrees.

think i got sorted.runs better now.just have to get the fuel to air ratio right.she idles better and does not bog as much.she is drivable.work out the other stuff soon.
