just purchased a 86 fc with a tii swap every time its taken for a ride and turned off it does not turn back on it seems as if i have to let it cool down before it can start any idea on what i should start with

 

Likely caused by it being flooded. Leaky fuel injectors are the leading cause of this in addition to the engine possibly being tired. You also might want to check the water thermosensor. An advanced search will bring up numerous threads on how to check it out.
