throttle body vacuum leak

87 TII I have a leak at the shaft of front set of secondary butterflies. the inner set is removed. The car only sees track time. Are there replacement parts ? I was going to pull it apart to see how it was sealed but couldn't get one of the butterflie screws out. wanted to get some input before the point of no return. I was considering an aftermarket single plate TB. I have removed everything so my idle is already less than wonderful. I only found one thread where an after markt TB was used and that was a pricey unit I would just be using a universal in the 80mm range.
Thanks Dave

The throttle shafts are sealed to the bushings by o-rings. It does come apart. You will probably have to drill the screws out.

This thread should help you with rebuilding the throttle body:

I got farting around with a couple throttle bodies and those Butterfly screws have left numerous Curse words floating around this house!
Smitty,if you need a S4 TII Throttle body that has been modded already,I have one that won't be used. The Choke butterflies are gone, and you can either seal the holes or retain a vacuum nipple I put in.It may need a throttle cable Holder,So don't toss your other one yet!
Cover the shipping and take it away.
I can send pics by email.

Thanks for the help. Now that I have a saftey net I'll pull mine apart. If it's sealed with o-rings I should be able to get it sealed up.
No fans of the 90mm throttle body ?

the 90mm Rotary-works throttle body is a FD application. They do make the 80mm for the FC though.Bolt on and go.BUT it uses the FD TPS!
Be prepared to spend about 400 bucks.
Been there done that.

I was thinking of something like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Silver-80MM-...d50eeb&vxp=mtr
That was suposed to be a link. There would be fabrication needed. an adapter plate as well as adapting my tps.
I'll just try fixing the stock one first. If no one else is doing it there must be a reason.

Keep in mind that a single blade throttle eliminates the progressive design Mazda used. If the car is only run at high throttles and/or has a standalone EMS, then this isn't an issue. However if this is a street car with the stock ECU, then a single blade throttle will have a huge negative effect on driveability and off idle response. Mazda has used staged primary/secondary throttle bodies on every rotary they have produced for a reason.
