greetings to all,
i am not and owner but a classic car enthusiast, jeeps are my forte, however my neighbor has a beautiful 88 rx7 with only 36k on the clock ,and had a small electrical (alternator) induced fire.
i am trying to assist her in getting her heart throb up and running, she has had several "mechanics" assist her in NOT getting up and running the last one stole the alternator. i am looking for a savvy
rx7 mech. in phoenix to assist me in truely assisting me in repair parts i need and better understanding repairs getting this low mileage rx back on the road , i look forward to your very needed reply

welcome to the board.

first of all that sucks ....

how much damage did the fire do? melted harness(es)?

regardless, of whatever other advice you get, you'll likely need access to reference material. you (or she) can get a copy of the FSM from: www, foxed.ca

as far as accessing resources local to you, you will want to try your local forum: https://www.rx7club.com/west-rx-7-forum-193/

let us know how it goes for you and her.
