Tall Guy Problems - Seat Lower?
Hey Guys,
Hope this is going to be an easy fix. As a 6'2 guy im having a bit of an issue in my 94 JDM FD. I can fit and drive it ok but I can't sit up straight as my head touches the roof, which is causing me a bit of back pain for longer drives.
I rather not replace the seat if I dont have to since they are fine for me, but is there any super low seat rails I could get that work with the stock ones? I don't think I can get the seat back any further since it almost touches the bins. Leg room isn't ideal but i'm not too fussed about that, just need to drop the height.
Cheers,
Vlad

you can get matching milk stools!
Without chopping the floor( as I am sure the seat sits on a "frame rail of sorts" and attaching the seat directly to the floor,OR using aftermarket seats and rails you are pretty much restricted to what you have.
You can find more Info Vlad in the 3rd gen section. It has also been mentioned in the 2nd gen section a couple times. So if you check there you may get some pointers on how to alleviate your problem.
Another solution would be get rid of your FEET...lol..or your head!..(chuckle!,,how is the air up there??)
**by the way you have adequate post count so you can now post in other sections.Kindly please do so and let the Newcomers use this section.
Thanks.

There is a mod to make the seat go back further, not sure if its available on all fd's though.
This is the only link I could find with a quick search but unfortunately no pictures in the thread

From memory, there is 3 rivets/indents on the rail that stops the seat goin back, if you drill 2 of them out, the seat moves approx 1" further back giving more leg room, might help?

Without any mods this is the quickest fix, noticed this helped right away when I picked my car up. not sure if it's uncomfortable for you though.
