Tachometer and Speedometer Issues
Hey RX7 owners, help me out.
The tachometer is not reading correctly. It hardly ever reads the rpms between 2500 and 3000. Like as soon as it hits 2500, it instantly jumps to 3000 rpms and sits there until the rpm actually rises over 3000. And again at 5500 to 6000. I was told that maybe this could be a result of someone installing white face gauges in the passed but I'm not sure.
The speedometer. While sitting at a stop light and I have the car in gear, I can accelerate the engine and my mph will jump to 20-30 mph without actually moving. It even reads on the odometer too so I am accumulating miles without even moving. What is causing this?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I have even considered installing aftermarket gauges.

I have heard of a glitch with the cluster on Fd's.(I am an FC guy myself but I read a lot of stuff on here.lol!)
Take a look in the 3rd Gen Specific section or in the 3rd gen archives. If anything you can find the solution. It does exist and it is common.
