I have 2 rx7s @ home. both 87s. one i kno for sure its got a NA tranny. bc i bought it from sum1 who knows their stuff. but i got the other one for parts n the tranny is runnin way better then mines is. i drove it home no problems except for the super heavy duty clutch.

ok my question is. how do i find out if it has the na tranny or if they swapped in a t2 tranny? and whats the difference between the two besides tht the t2 is stronger?

 

T2 is bigger, heavier and i think has different gear ratios.

N/A's do not have a removable bell housing, T2's do.

T2's also have a removable panel on the bottom that you can take off to inspect the clutch area, n/a's don't.
