Switch question

I know this may sound like an idiot question but can a convertible rx7 use instead of the convertible top switch a switch for opening up the sunroof instead?

The electric switch for opening and closing the top on the convertible. Is it changable with the rx7's that have the sunroof switch on the dash instead of on the center console?

It is possible the switched are compatible, but doubtful. You would need to compare the connectors and the output of the connector. If they are both three position momentary switches you may be able to make it work. My question is why do you ask? Just curious. Is your car a convertible or does it have a sunroof?

i might be wrong but it sounds like you have a vert but your switch up on the console where your wiper/hazards are broke?? not sure if it's been done before so you might be able to modify the switch and splice/wire it up and test it out to see if it would work if you have a spare one already?

doing any mods just in order to make this work really makes no sense.
Like wiping before you poop...
Either you would end up hacking wiring or frying something anyways,so just break down and get another switch and call it a day.
You can get used parts all day long in the Classifieds.Members have that luxury.
