stock security system problems?
so alittle history on my car, bought it 4 months ago it is a 87 gxl with 138k miles runs great never had to do anything to the car besides change oil, and new spark plugs and wires. i recently replaced the driverside door from a 90s parts car a friend had and it was power locks but mine wasnt. switched over the door harness so it would fit the dash harness and i cut the wires for the power locks thinking it wouldnt matter, well it tripped the security system and completely shut down my car, no radio no start at all not even clicking, so i jumped the starter relay so i can drive it but i still have no radio. what can i do to bypass the stock security system??? thanks guys i just need this to be fixed

S5s only had power locks on the passenger side, and there was some sort of switch to trigger it from the driver's side. There are/were some aftermarket conversion kits available too. Are you sure what you cut was power lock related and not for the lock sensor used by the alarm? Check wire colors listed in the S5 diagrams. Here's a link if you need one: http://foxed.ca/foxed/index.php?page...nual#secondgen.
