I have had the carb rebuilt and fitted, but the engine still will not rev above 6500 rpm.
So far I have changed the fuel filter cleaned all the lines out and had the carb rebuild, and after checking that all plugs are sparking, I have been avised to disconnect the exhaust to see if that is blocked, I will try this tomorrow.
I should mention that the car has been left standing for 11 years, but started every so often, when I stopped using the car it was running ok.
Any other ideas ?

 

Have you checked the timing? Is the fuel pump delivering enough fuel?
