Starting problem

Hey guys, only had this car for a week or so and I am having a serious starting problem. The first time it happened I thought I flooded her so I removed my inj relay, turned her over for a few seconds, plugged the relay back in and held my MAF open and she started right up. Now she doesn't even sputter when I turn her over and she ONLY starts if I hold the MAF open. She then goes up to about 2500 rpm (keep in mind it's hovering around zero here) for aprox. 4 seconds and then dies. Is my MAF donedy or is there some larger issue I'm going to need to deal with? Thanks in advance

Look at post #166 in the link and check if there is voltage on the Blue wire in the relay when the key is turned to start. The relay is located under the dash and just to the right of the steering wheel. Use the solid Black wire in the relay as the ground source for the volt meter.
