Starting Issues with 13b Bridgeport - Microtech LT10S
Hi All,
I am new to this forum, as I am new to Rotars in general. I have started working on my first one over the last month. And its been an intersting and steep learning curve.
But they are fantastic. And Im now shopping for my own.
So to get to the point. Its a good mate of mines. A series 5 RX7 with a 13b bridgport N/A. It is using a Microtech LT10S to run the show. And it has run before as it it sits. But...
The engine has been pulled out freshly rebuilt and put back in.
And we have tryed getting it started. I understand the basics now. (well I think). Things like low comp with a fresh rebuilt becasue of glued apex seals, ect, ect,)
After we had tryed for a long time. And had it basically firing on both rotors then cutting out on a very consisdent basis. I said its time to look for an issue. Because if everything was sweet Im sure it would have run by now. So I simply started by checking the essentials... Spark and an injector test light on the Injectors.
Doing this resulted in finiding out that whilst cranking the top 2 injectors were not firing. The bottom were.
So thinking to myself perhaps its now time to check the output drivers on the computer. I plugged into the ecu with the essentials required. And last night we ran the output test on the ecu. The test fired all outputs beautifully. All injectors and all coils. No issues.
So now as Im a little confused its time to ask people who have worked on them more than me.
Do the top injectors. Im taking a guess but, primarys, fire on crank or only the bottom, secondarys?
And if Computer Outputs are fine... Should I be looking at inputs?
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Sorry for the long post. I tryed to expalin as best I can.
Thanks Very Much,
Laurence Cripps
