Starting Issue.
Its a 1984 series 3, 12a
Started it up today for the first time in a while with the help of a mate to just charge up the battery a bit as it didn't have enough power to crank it over.
Went for a quick drive, came back, shut it down. Few minutes later went back out there and turned the key..absolutely nothing, completely dead.
The alarm is loud, headlights are on and very bright, everything seems to have full power and the battery seems nice and charged.
Put jumper leads on, without even starting his car, and it fired up straight away.
Let it idle for a bit, took the leads off and let it idle.
Turned it off, then went to turn it back on and the EXACT same thing happend again...
I'm completely baffled as to whats going on...any help?

Check the lead from your batery to your started to see if it is not connected very well, or very corroded,
also, check the connection of the starter ignition lead (smaller wire attatched to starter) as it sends the starter the signal to start.
best of luck
