This is starting to get fun!

Ok, so while whaiting for my water pump and thermostat to be shipped i was looking at it and i found somthing weird, i lifted the plastic cover ont he shock tower under the hood (for the first time) and one of the for small nuts (gold in color) was missing, just one of them on one side. i will be ordering a replacement but i wanted to get more advice, i have only delt with piston engines, and only a little on suspension. should i just put the new one on and torq it to what my book says and get an aligment or take off and retorq all 4 of them? Anything would be nice thanks.

Stock-style shocks right? Replace the nut and I wouldn't worry about it. If you notice uneven wear on the tire, get an alignment, but it's probably not going to do anything.

Put some moth ***** under the hood to keep that gremlin from loosening those damn things. Lol. Just kidding. Just when you tighten them, don't break the stud. Every bolt has a torque spec. But as long as it is tight I wouldn't worry about. Good luck man.

some mechanics in these shops will loose or misplace nuts/bolts and just leave them out especially if there's something covering/hiding them and it's not noticeable and the owner will never know.
