NV Starter?

So after rebuilding the carb and re-installing that mother, the damn car won't start, battery is good, fuse looks good, could my starter have crapped out just sitting there? or maybe the solenoid? where is the solenoid located and how much power should i expect at the starter 12v?

Probably just a bad connection after doing your work. Remove, clean, and tighten the connections on the battery cables. Do this at the battery, and at the other ends of the cables. That will usually do the trick...

Yup still at it 13X, its been a slow project. All I did was remove the carb, rebuild it and re-install, not sure why it won't start, it won't even crank. I have some electrical issues with other things. I had my battery tender hooked up while I got to the carb which was about a month. Now passenger window won't go up or down, headlight are intermittent as well as flashers, and it won't crank. Voltage on battery is good and all lights/bells come on when I turn the key but no crank.

Ok check the obvious such as battery connections

check for power at the starter when key is turned to crank position, if no power then not the starter if power then verify how much.

it's attached to the starter, what the wires attach to.

Okay, so I replaced the starter with a remanufactured one, and the starter will not engage the flywheel. The starter spins over and extends like it wants to start the car, but never engages, wrong starter? Please help, I am getting ready to burn this car!!!!!!!

I just bought it from AutoZone, it's not a matter of it not working, it's a matter of it not engaging the flywheel. The armature extends and the starter spins but it's hitting the side of the flywheel not the teeth.

Okay, so reman starter from mazda installed, car cranks like a champ, won't idle though even after carb rebuild and the sumbitch smokes again!!! At this point I am confident that the engine is hosed, Anyone have a sweet 12A or 13B they want to get rid of? If not I guess I will torch this beast and cut my losses.
