Spring Compatibility
Sounds like a great way to mess up the spring rates, and that's if they'll even fit properly. Just buy springs made for an RX-7. Racingbeat sells some specifically for convertibles that have a 0.8" drop. There are also others like Tannabe GF-210s, which have a 1.5" drop.
well i'm trying to make the fc ballin on a budget and a buddy of mine has the miata springs and we were just curious and before i went through the trouble of wasting my time i joined this forum because i'm new to this whole rotary thing but am beginning to like it. Also how can you check to see if you apex seal is good i heard this is the worst thing to happen in these cars.
Do a compression test. Preferably have a rotary shop with a Mazda compression tester do it. Otherwise you can use one of testers for piston engines. There are a few threads about compression testing somewhere on here if you want to research that further. Its a pita to do it yourself so I always get a shop to do it. Not sure what options you have in Biloxi though...
