spark plug question

i went to buy some new spark plugs, but could only find the leading edge plugs. Is it alright to use the same plugs for the trailing edge? the guy at auto zone said they would work, but i don't trust those guys.

my bad. It's a tt 93 rx-7. ... stock. it hasn't ran in a few years. i can get it to hit on starting fluid, but no luck running yet. I am getting fuel at the rail, but i don't know if the injectors are working yet. Haven't had much time to mess with it.

You can find a trailing plug somewhere. Most auto parts "specialists" aren't very helpful when it comes to rotaries. The plugs are different heat ranges because the trailing plug fires after the leading plug as already ignited the gas/air mix in the cycle.
