my 1984 rx7 is completey mechanicallly original except it is missing its cadilidic converter and has an after market header. I haven't been able to pass DEQ in Oregon yet and am waiting on an owners manual in the mail. I plan on completly buying a new exhaust system but won't have the money for a little while.
Are there any suggestions, ideas or specific exhaust parts that i could buy now, so my car can drive legally.

 

Well, if the "DEQ" is a smog test, you'll need a catalytic converter to pass. Don't bother with the owners manual either, since you can download the factory service manual free online. There should be links in the 1st gen FAQ.
