Question So i just bought a mazda rx7....

So i bought my second car, and I'm 16, and it is a Mazda RX-7 (one of my dream cars). I want to take it to the drift track close by but first i want to do some simple upgrades... like coil-overs, or sum just to give it that race car feel. I'm also buying a wing for it just cause when i see my Mazda, I wanna have the wing on it... But there is one problem that i need help with to fix it... the engine randomly goes out and you have to wait 10-15 minutes for start it again... Any solutions? (My fathers Dodge neon did the same thing but my car is a 13B wankle rotary)
PLZ HELP!

You didnt list which RX7 you have but since you say 13B im gonna assume a FC.

You would have to describe your problem a little better than “randomly goes out” but you should do a compression test on the motor if its having trouble starting and you dont know the history of the car and the issue. Relatively quick and easy process that may save you some time and trouble shooting. If the engine provides good numbers then go from there.

it could be flooding, could be an ignition issue, could be losing fuel (i.e. pump dying). Compression, fuel, and spark are what you need for it to run.

The first thing you should do is get a compression test done with a rotary specific compression test. Find out the true health of your 13b before randomly chasing things that might cause a hot start issue.
