I bought an 86 FC last week. It's my first older car. It came with the sleepy eye mod. I HATE THEM. I have spent all day searching Youtube and Google. Everything is how to do it, not how to fix them. I've tried reversing things that the YouTube videos are doing, but nothing is working. The drivers side goes up to sleepy eyes and then won't go anywhere, up or down. The passenger side goes up to sleepy eyes, then all the way up all the way down when I turn the lights off.

Help please...

 

I had a motor die on one of my headlights a long while back while closing. I had one sleepy that would not do anything and one that worked normally, it looked pretty stupid. Anyways, There is a **** under the light that you can turn to adjust it's height. If you really want the quick and dirty way to fix it for now, so it is drivable at night, unplug the motor and manually adjust them to the raised position using the ****. That will at least get you "working" while you figure out what else you need to do to get them running correctly.
