Skyward bound headlights (Help!!)

Good afternoon intelligent fellas, My S5 Fc suffers from a strange phenomenon where the headlights are stuck up and can only be wound down manually when the battery is disconnected, as soon as it’s connected the headlights fly up, I understand that it gets a 12v signal for up and a separate 12v for down but I’m confused as to what could be causing this?
hope yal have some thoughts.
thank you!

Do you have the headlight up switch in the up position?

In this case you'll want to move the headlight and light up/down switch in the down or off and examine the wiring diagram and check for power and grounds in the headlight circuit.

Get the factory service manual here: http://www.foxed,ca
