Significant amount of play in my steering!
I have an 82' with enough play in the steering that it's difficult to precisely control the vehicle. What are possible reasons for this that I should look into? Is there a way I can tighten it?

Worn steering box and worn idler link. There instructions in the 1st gen FAQ as to how to tighten up the steering box but even from the factory, they are very loose.
The idler link is a common issue. Check that side of the frame rail and you may find it gone from rust.
