should i trade off rims?

ok on my 86 na i have these 18 inch 8.5W rims with bf goodrich tires. the tires are slighty fatter on the rear end and thinner in front. they are pretty closed up rims that are chrome. they weigh about what feels like 50-80lbs a piece. in a car used for racing around are these a good choice? or should i get something more open and lighter? you can see the rims on my avatar pic.

If you are serious about racing it then yes get something with thinner spokes. Also most times (I've noticed) chrome wheels are usually heavier than not chrome wheels.

Cant go wrong with a set of Enkei's

If you cant afford enkei's, I'd look around for some nice 17's...

In my opinion, Chrome and Imports should never mix.
