I'd say depends on what you plan on doing. (daily driving, autocrossing, ect.)

Yes..buy them....THEN sell me your used set up dirt cheap....IMO coilovers ar going to be just as rough, only adjustable, try a diff pair of springs if all u need is a softer ride
edit...do you have tokico springs only? buy some adjustable dampening shocks

Most coilovers are also quite stiff.

You'll want to shop carefully for a softer ride.

Personally I think the right set of springs on stock dampers can be a really good setup for comfort and performance.

I had this same problem in the suspension thread.
Im on tokicos with GC coilovers.

I think the conclusion of the thread was that if you want a soft ride, go with the stock setup. I love my setup but its just to rough on bad roads and I drive on alot of bad roads.

Coilovers

I think that the advice saying coil overs are cause a stiff ride is not accurate, you need to look at the spring rate and damping. These values might be exactly the same as the stock ones, although generally they are a bit stiffer.

I am actually looking to stiffen up my ride. Wanna swap?
