Short shifter on t2

Does anyone have a cutaway view of how this fits
shouldnt the larger round ball sit down or nest in the lower socket area? I picked this up used not even sure of the brand...

I would think about using the stock shifter bushing though the one that came with my short shifter was too stiff.

Glad to help.
One thing that a lot of FCs need is the rubber shift boots that keep the heat out of the cabin. If your shifter feels hot or there's smell coming from there, it's most likely that. Super common and easy to replace, especially if you have the shifter apart anyway.
