Semi new fc owner

Hi guys I'm sort of a new fc owner . I say sorta because I now own 3 s5. All 3 are different. I have a 90 gtu which was my first love affair. I have a 90 gxl that has been LS swapped... I know, some say blasphamy, but it's more of a project car and around here its easier to get parts for or easier to get help with tuning ( #racecarproblems lol). And now i just picked up a 91 base auto with 75k miles on it. I'm running into a problem with the 91 because under no load it revs fine and idles amazing, but under load (ie in drive) it has little to no acceleration and around 2k it starts flashing hold. I've read a few things and I've yet to come up with a solution. I've tested the tps and adjusted it. I've done a at flush and a tune up. Yet nothing has helped. I'm new to the automatic life so any help is appreciated!

Turbine speed sensor - Good luck according to Mazda there's three left in the country there in Chicago and theyre $240, it was literally cheaper to manual swap my vert than to fix the auto trans

I think the guy before me said it sat for maybe a few months. And on that sensor is it kind of a rare part even used?

I searched on here for a couple months, I finally found one guy parting out an auto trans, from the same year car it was completely different. The common answer I got when asking how to fix it was "just manual swap it". The atx is a unicorn, and honestly it was was more fun after an aluminum flywheel and manual trans.

turbine speed sensor

5 long flashes - 5 short flashes code 55 - turbine speed sensor

left side transmission just above the starter where bell housing meets the trans - 2 green wires coming out.....

mine ohmed at 254 ohms - took it out and it had corrosion on it, I replaced it with a good clean junkyard part that was like $1 that ohmed 250 ohms and the code went away. maybe it was just dirty.... its that easy sometimes.

now im working on my 6 long flashes - 3 short flashes code 63 - lockup control solenoid valve

ill report later

apparently when I paid the shop to swap the tranny they plugged the turbine speed sensor into the lockup solenoid on the tranny and on the engine harness the plugged the two mating plugs to them selves. All 4 connectors had white dots and they can be interchanged....

no more flashing hold light.... but the ebay replacement tranny is still bad.....

glad to say I have no electrical issues, just a bad pump.

Ive got 5 used auto trannys from Mo at Palm Tree Rotary... so Ill try 2 more and if that doesn't work well then ill do the 5spd swap too....lol

so yeah to the op to keep this post related, junkyard parts still work.
