Seat belt chime.

I always wear my seat belt, but that chime is annoying. I have a 90 GXL with passive seat belts, and anytime the car is started, the seat belt chime continuously goes off until I fasten the lap belt. This is a problem, because there are times when I am sitting in my car in my driveway either working on it or warming it up, and it gets very bothersome. Does anyone have an idea on where that chime comes from, so I can disable it? I've used the search function, but came up empty. Thank you.

Warming up the car?

Don't see why you can't just unplug the seat belt connector at the transmission tunnel and then make a little harness to short it.

As in letting it get to a decent operating temperature before I drive it down the road.

I could do that, although I would like to retain my light and just unplug the chimer.
