I am the lucky new owner of a 1980 GS and was wondering what I should/could do to the car while it's in storage as preventative maintenance before the car hits the road this summer. The car currently is street ported, has a RB header and has had its rats nest removed.

In mind already is to replace all coolant hoses and rebuild the oil metering pump...

I am also considering changing the mechanical clutch fan to an electric one... on BMWs these apparently have a bad habit of seizing and flying apart taking everything out in their path....

Am I missing anything?
