S4 TII turbo questions

Hi all thanks for looking and for any help in advance. I have an 87 TII that I've been trying to get back on the road. I have a few questions.

When it was running it had a massive vac leak. The one from the up pipe to the plastic intake tube. I was having a hard time getting it started. When I could drive it and boosted I had creep up to around 12 psi but never hit fuel cut. I was just woundering if anyone knew why that was?

Also I blew out my lim gasket so in the process of replacing it I decided to port my wastegate. How large should I make the hole? As always thanks for the help.

n/a and turbo are different.

no idea on the boost creep, any other modifications to the car? port the wastegate to within 1mm of the flapper edge when it is closed.

check near the pressure sensor on the RF strut tower for a black box wired up in series, throw it out if there is something hooked up, fuel cut is an important integrated safety device.

Thanks for answering.. The PO tried to install a bigger turbo and cut the cat off. Realized that the turbo wouldn't fit on the manifold and built a hybrid. When I got it, it was dumping underneath the car so I bought a cheap dp to connect the exhaust. I am following aaroncakes write up to port the wastegate for the creep. I just found it very odd that I never hit fuel cut.

No larger injectors. Good thing I've only driven it 3 times. She's a strong runner just couldn't ever get it started. When I did drive it I wouldn't get on the gas. Only one time when my dad was pressuring me into running it hard. I've done enough reading on here to know better. I've deleted all emissions and am now trying to decide if I should get new omp lines or delete that and premix.
