S4 & S5 Flywheel Diameter

Hi All,

I'm looking for the outer diameter of the ring gear on S4 & S5 flywheel. NonTurbo, NA. I'm making plans to mate the tranny to a KL-DE. Just trying to see how different the RX7 diameter is compared to the KL-DE. I know the RX7 has 116 teeth as opposed to the 112 of the KL-DE.

Thanks in advance,
Ron

S4 & S5 NA flywheels are both 225mm in diameter. Each will be counter-weighted differently.

Thanks for the reply! I was thinking that 225 was the O.D. of the clutch. Is the 225mm the diameter of the ring gear? I was hoping the ring gear diameter was in the 290mm range.

I'm fairly sure 225mm is the OD of the center section that attaches to the pressure plate. If you measured from the tips of the teeth on the ring gear, it would be somewhere around 20-30mm wider.

Now if you went with a TII transmission, the matching flywheel would be 250mm + 20-30mm or so for the gear.
