S4 FC. Turbo 2 Pressure plate, stock clutch. Problems?

In a nutshell my FC has a stock clutch but Turbo 2 pressure plate. At about 5500 rpms it binds up pretty good and I have to release some pressure to keep revving.

I was told just replace the slave cylinder with one from a Turbo 2 and it solves the problem?

I assume you have an NA car?

T2 and NA drivetrain components are physically different. You can't mix and match. You can't bolt a T2 pressure plate to an NA flywheel because they are different diameters. You can't use a T2 slave cylinder on an NA trans because the bolt pattern is different and you will not get correct throw.

So... do you have a T2 trans then?

More then the diameters being different, the N/A uses a stepped flywheel and the turbo uses a flat flywheel. The Turbo pressure plate would never get enough clamp on the clutch disk if you could even bolt it to a n/a flywheel..

Yes its a NA.

And from what I have been told it is a Turbo 2 pressure plate, stock NA clutch, and stock NA slave.

I dunno what to do. The guy is a RX7 genius. I bought the part, I will see if it works I guess.

Alright then, if thats not the problem what would make the clutch bind up around 5500 rpms?

If I gently ride the clutch a tad, the binding stops. It revs freely, so its when its in gear, and clutch engaged.
