OR S4 13b TPS Adjustment Question

Hey guys, long time reader first time poster.
I read all the DIYs and I've glanced through the FSMs about the TPS and understand and have completed the adjustment.
-Background to the issue
Upon first first reading I got 0.55k/~5.50k
I adjusted to 1.00 and with it being S4 I know you can't adjust Full range so it stayed at 5.5k

This was my first attempt at it and all issues I had with the car before the adjustment (lurching, running rich, constant backfires, never wanting to hotstart) went away.

Over the last month it seemed to start to digress back to the original settings, so I hooked the meter back to it and it showed .87k low range and 4.7k full range.

My question is could the roughly 5-10 minutes it took me to figure out the process the first time been enough for the engine to cool enough to effect my adjustment?
Or was my adjustment accurate and the adjustment screw just settled a little differently?
Also what has caused the changed Full Range reading?

I apologize for the long post, thanks for your time.

One thing I have read is that the engine needs to be really warm in order to adjust the TPS.
Hopefully our "wizard" Satch will pop in with his expertise.

The engine should be hot because on the back of the throttle body there is a thermowax which lets it stay wider open when that thing is cold. If the thermowax is set up correct normal operating temperature should be hot enough to adjust the tps.
