rx7 mod?

so im incredibly noob to the whole rotary idea
i have an 89 rx7 and im wpndering if there is
a proper progress or path to modify the 7 without
setting myself up for a rotary pop or failure?

There's no one correct way to go about modding. Though reliability mods will always come first. This link has some good information, check it out.
