Exclamation RX7 hasn't ran in two years

Steffan (New Jersey) So my grandfathers 85 hasn't ran in about two years and i have to get this 100% functional and reliable wouldn't hurt. If anyone could just reply and let me know stuff I should replace/ clean, besides basics like oil etc. Every bit would help thanks also the B12 engine needs a tune so if theres any specialists out there near Jersey, New York or PA let me know.

Remove and clean gas tank. Replace fuel hoses and filter. You'll see them. Use an impact screwdriver to remove the sending unit. They'll be tough otherwise and you may ruin them. Change all coolant/heater hoses. Flush system. You may want to replace beehive oil cooler orings at this time also. Change drive belts. Change oil. Fire that baby up. You may find you'll want to change intake manifold gasket and orings if it's never been done. That should get you rolling well. Have fun!

Edit- Use a bottle of seafoam in your first fill up. Afterward use Lucas fuel system treatment
2 oz/10 gallons every fill up.

Thank you very much! I have some stuff already intended, coolant flush etc. Put I will replace as many of the hoses you mentioned as I could find. With this on top of other replies and the stuff I have I should be in good working order! Thanks.

As this is a self help Forum with sections of specific info to specific generations of Rx7's,If you need to know WHO can help in your area then visit the REGIONAL sections.(your thread was wiped).Guys will post up with who they have dealt with.
Asking for a Mechanic in this section only gets your thread wiped,as it is asking for services.
We tend not to get Vendors or garages, etc to start feeding on this section is that is why we ask that any new member NOT ask for any services.

did you get it running? you should be able to tune it yourself as far as replacing the ignition system items and oil change ect. the turbos are difficult to tune when you start modding them but for your NA- naturally aspirated ..you should be good with doing the timing, TPS- throttle position sensor , what else? just go through with a multimeter and check you alternator voltage , coil packs , CAS, make sure its stabbed correctly! OMP function, i dunno theres just so much you can do until you get the poing where you might actually have to have something more serious done and need professional help

Yea a majority of it can be done by myself but there is only so much I can do before as you said it needs to go to a shop etc. Its a clean car so I cannot imagine any major problems with the car. Thanks for the help.
