Rx-7 Motor/Housing/Rotor Costs

Hey,

I'm looking to buy a '93 FD3 RX-7. It's a southern car so hopefully will be rust/rot free, but the engine is not in it. This obviously concerns me.

The seller has an engine (rebuilt) for it, but it's not in it. (I guess the mechanic booked before it was in)

If I buy the car, when I get it back home I'd probably open it up to see how things are looking on the inside before I put it back in.

I'm not entirely sure what 'worst case' for a rotary is, I'd assume it's that the apex seals are shot to the point where it scuffed the rotor housing. If this is the case, how much am I looking at for a housing or rotor. Is this the worst case scenario as far as the motor goes (seems to represent block & pistons, so that's of the 'power' part, IMO, so it should seem so)? Are there any like "ah ****, I need to shell out a huge amount of money" aspects to the 13B? I'm talking the equivalent of pulling the head on a piston engine and finding the head is completely warped or something. Just don't want to find the rebuilder fucked something up and now the car's completely hosed.

TIA
