I had my 85 rx7 stored in my garage for a few years. I cranked it now and then but now I know it was not enough. I dropped my gas tank and see the rust. My question is this.....the tube that runs to the bottom of the tank has a cylindrical plastic piece at the end with 4 "windows" of find mesh filter material. One is completely gone and rust has been drawn into the tube. Can someone give me an idea if this "strainer" piece at the end of the tube can be purchased/replaced? My tank is away being cleaned and sealed. Many, many thanks!

 

I took my pickup to the parts store and tried different pickup 'socks' til I found one that fit. It will be a sock, not like the original strainer.
