Thumbs up It runs!!!

For those that haven't seen my previous posts... I have a 1992 RX-7 (58K miles)that I purchased with no motor in it. All of the wiring and hoses and stuff was there but I had to puzzle it all back together. To complicate matters the previous owner of the car had "started" a 5-speed conversion on the car. I picked up a motor from a friend of a friend and I have been slowly assembling it over the last few weeks.

I finnally turned it over yesterday after hunting down bad grounds and missed connections for a couple of days. Pumped some ATF into the plug holes, kept turning it over occasionally. I put the plugs back in and it seemed to have good compression. Plugged in the plug wires (got it right the first time ) and she fired right up. Since I had no fluids in it other than engine oil I shut it right down.

Very happy about that, BUT, There are still a couple of issues that I haven't figured out.

1. The instructions for the 5-speed conversion say to plug the intake vacuum port that is no longer used. I am hoping that is the one on the back side of the lower intake manifold. If not, which one does get plugged because I must have something backward.

2. There is a round, vacuum actuated lever on the front side of the upper intake that has no vacuum line running to it. Any idea where the vacuum for it is supposed to come from would be helpful.

3. There is another vacuum line that tees off of the cruise control but I can't seem to find where it goes either.

4. There is a single bladed female electrical connection in the bundle that goes to the back side of the upper intake that I do not know what to plug it into. In that bundle is a ground, another 2 blade female white connector that connects to the upper intake (temp or pressure sensor, I'm not certain), another black connector that I believe is connected to an air bypass controller.

I might be able to get some pictures of this stuff if you think it would help but it is pretty tight in most of those areas.

Thanks,

Ron
