Question running on one rotor after 3200rpm??

i got a 87 non turbo rx7. was driving around today and the car was running great. then all of the sudden it lost power and was making a louder than normal noise, after messing around for a bit i learned that it was having this problem only once 3200rpm is reached and under load. didn't seem to do this when in neutral and slowly increasing rpm. anyone have a clue????

3200 RPM isn't a significant point, so there' no reason I can think of for anything to occur then. The secondary injectors stage at 3800 RPM (or higher), so that's not the issue. Do a compression test on the engine.

i have driven it around a little more and have noticed that the car runs fine until it is warmed up, and then has this problem, not too sure it it is always at 3200 because the tach decides when it wants to work as well. thanks for the replies, i will check those things.

Check engine codes while you're at it: http://www.teamfc3s.org/info/article...odes/main.html

There are 3 temperature dependent sensors (water temp sensor, AFM air temp sensor & intake air temp sensor) that are used with fuel calculations.
