Rpms go up but no power
Hi everyone. I have a 94 RX7. I noticed that my car isn't as fast. When I give it gas my rpms go up but my car's power diminished. Also if I give it more gas, higher than 3-4k rpms, there's a nasty burn smell. Anyone have any clues to what's going on? I hate driving my rx-7 like a grandma!

sounds like your clutch is burning/slipping and needs to be replaced.
If the car is not gaining speed and your RPM's go up,then it is your clutch.
Realistically when you put your foot on the gas pedal,the RPM's should go up and you should feel the car gaining speed instantaneously.
IF not,then..yep..clutch.
