i have a fd with literaly almost ever bolt on you can get for it other then a turbo upgrade which is in the works. when the car idles it rev bounces about 300 to 500 rpms however when i turn the lights on it idles fine anyone have a idea what might be wrong?

 

Well you can start with an idle adjustment. The procedure is in the 3rd gen faq.

If that doesn't solve it, you might need a new electrical load sensor. I don't know a lot about it except that it matches your symptoms.

or you have a vacuum leak

or your TPS is misadjusted
