Unhappy Rough Idle & Stall following cold air intake

Hey guys, just installed a new cold air intake,
This is my second time working on it (Second entailed re-doing ALL off the piping).
After getting the pipes ran, I put the two air lines that used to go to the old piping into the new.
Right after completing this my car would Idle for about 30 seconds at 400 rpm, then stall..

I have a 1990 vert na, no other mods other than exhaust and plugs...
I was searching the forums and found similiar topics, but none with my problem, but what i did find was that it could be a variety of things, but what caught my eye most was a vacuum leak and old injectors.
As far as the vacuum leak goes, i was told my car sounded like it had one, as well as I've always had a "Hunting Idle" until the motor warmed up after cold starts, and rarely does it do the 3k warmup idle.

Thanks!

First off, the stock intake is a "cold air" setup since it pulls from the bumper area. On an NA, there's no real need to swap it out. If your new intake setup is ducted somewhere outside the engine bay, it can work just as well with essentially no benefit other than looks. If the cone filter is in the engine bay, it will pull in hot air and reduce performance.

If you can post a picture or two of what you've changed, it may help. The most likely causes would be a disconnected AFM or a leak in the piping you installed. Any opening after the AFM will cause the engine to run rough.

So if it's in the engine bay, technically its not helping at all, and essentially making it worse?
If thats the case I'll put the stock box back on, and just put in a K&N High flow filter.
There are three hoses other than the main intake hose going to the throttle body, i know that one is the air pump, the other is the BAC, then theres another: That one runs down behind the motor, I believe that line could be the cause of my issue, is that possible? Whatever it is.. I'm going to go ahead and put the stock air box on and get a high flow filter then... I'd just like the know what that third hose goes to

The 3rd line may be for the oil injectors, which get metered air (not vacuum) to help with atomization. When I had an S5 intake manifold on my S4 NA, I had that line connected to the intake piping. It's about 6mm ID.

Back when my car was NA, I did build a custom intake setup, but it was also in the engine bay. The result was pretty much nothing other than a somewhat rough idle. I eventually took it off and scrapped it. Fast forward to after I put in a turbo engine, I built a much better sealed box setup. Pic below. On turbo engines, the complicated piping restricts airflow, so a new intake was a necessity.

Alright! So any pointers on doing a cold air? I know its not much help, but I like the look, lol...
By the way...
Problems with it now.
Since i fixed it i ran it for about a day before i was planning on putting the time to restore the stock air box.
But now I smell my coolant while its running... bad... the exhaust smells funny, but i think old injectors are causing that, it doesnt necessarily smell like coolant from the pipes. But now its draining the coolant completely dry. Tomorrow I'm planning on burping my coolant system and running the car, watching to see if its leaking to the ground, or dissappearing... If its just disappearing does that suggest a bad coolant seal? and would that require a complete rebuild of the motor?
Thanks!
