Just bought this car with my son. We want to get into Rally racing We think this is the correct car. Bought it as a basket case . Parts were there even most of the bolts. I got it all together after about a week. did purchase a Haynes manual.
Originally we thought it had only 2 injectors but found after I had it together two more were hidden under the intake. I forgot to disconnect battery. Got some sparks while raising the intake. Did not see any blown fuses or burnt wires so put it back together, . now no spark. Only ground path when it sparked was throttle sensor. ECU looks good but smells like something was cooked so I am waiting for a ECU to be shipped.

Make sure to check the under hood EGI fuse.

First thing I checked is main fuses plus ones next to drivers left foot. Thought maybe the amp surge burned the crank sensor but it measures correctly. No other wire in Alternator wire bundle. Found another ECU for $50. Maybe it will solve the problem. Ignition worked before I sparked the manifold against the Alternator.
