Rhd downpipe question

I have a right hand drive FD. 1992. Trying to get a hold of an aftermarket downpipe. The left hand drive ones are everywhere and easy to find. The rhd ones a little more difficult and expensive.

I was wondering if it is common for people to buy the LHD downpipes and just custom fab them to fit around the steering column. Or is this harder then it looks.

If anyone has done this let me know.

The OEM JDM downpipes don't have a pre-cat so I don't think you'll reap huge benefits going to an aftermarket unit.

That said, in the US, the only RHD compatible downpipes are the HKS downpipe and some of the SMB downpipes.
