UT restoring a RX-7

Hello new to the club. So I just bought an 84 RX-7 and I want to restore it by.
Rebuilding the engine
Rebuilding the transmission
putting on a wide body kit
switching from carb to EFI
race seats
new dash
that's about it for now

Doesn't Megasquirt make an ECU for rotaries?

1st gens are great. Don't knock carburation just yet, rotary shack has a pretty potent header that makes great power when paired with a 12a and the right breathing mods. Good luck with the project!

I flirted with the idea of going fuel injected 12A with a turbo, seen it done a few times. though after careful consideration (looking at my bank account at the time) i decided that wasn't for me, so a 4 barrel carb and header it was, sounded great, and it had good low end power.

Those 1st gens are fun, wish i had the room so i could have kept mine.

you could swap in the EFI equipment from a gsl se, everything should bolt right up with little to no modification.

or for more badass purposes, run megasquirt or haltech, with weber intake manifold and borla ITBs.

lot more involved but gonna be the best looking and performing route for N/A EFI

Since the 12A is 4 port, the intake will not work. Plus it's too long.

didnt even consider he didnt have a 13b.

in that case, itbs for EFI.

though im more partial to carburation. nothing beats the sound of a carbd rotary.
