Removing presilencer from rev t2 rb
I just feel like i would be able to free up back pressure. I also would like to see if my exhaust would be louder without having to buy a new catback just to hear the beautiful brap of my rotary. Has anybody done it? If so any power gains or any louder than before? Thank you!

I have an N/A FC with rb headers and presilencer and a corksport cat back. I know the turbo models are a lot quieter than the N/As since you've got a turbo absorbing a lot of the noise, but IMO, unless you only drive on the track or you live somewhere where the cops dn't give a **** (I'm guessing wherever you are in California is not that kind of place) I recommend leaving that presilencer there. It really doesn't add that much more back pressure/restriction anyways and a certain level of back pressure is important. On the 6 port engines, our 5th and 6th intake ports won't work without enough back pressure. I had to wire mine open because of that, which lost me a bunch of low end torque. My car is also STUPID loud. My dad has a straight piped Harley and my car is much louder than that. I have t keep it under 4 grand in town or it will rattle peoples windows as I drive by.
I know the turbo motors are a lot different and much quieter, but I personally don't see any gains from removing it other than being obnoxiously loud.

Wow. On my na it made a pretty noticeable difference. I know the turbos are quieter, but exactly how much quieter are they? I've only ever heard one in person that had a stock exhaust

Im not too sure about anybody elses, but my var with the full rev t2 racing beat exhaust is as quiet as a stock na fc. Well, maybe a little bit louder. It does have a deeper throatier growl to it than an na

Yeah, my car is almost completely stock outside of my exhaust, a cold air intake, and an s5 intake mani (also deleted the AC, emissions/air pump, and the omp) and it is ridiculous how loud it is. I have to putt around like a granny anywhere in town and even then it is still loud! I get pulled over and told I can't have my 'racecar' on the road all the time. Granted I'm sure if I had a y pipe exhaust and mufflers it wouldn't be so bad.
Have you thought of getting a single exhaust with just a resonator on the end instead of mufflers? Like the Apexi or Corksport? You can probably find a Corksport cat-back for like $250...

I saw one of the Gredyy's online a couple days ago. Can't remember the price, but they only had a couple in stock and they said it was the very last of them... just tried a google search for it and can't find it anywhere. Are catback systems the same for NA and turbo motors? if they are, I could ship you mine when I find an rb system to replace it with. Its not in the best condition but I'd give it to you cheap!
