Hey everyone,
Ive been looking to replace my oem exhaust (s4 NA) with a full RB exhaust... Headers, presilencer, cat-back. Is the full Road Race system true dual? And which system has a better sound? I dont want a tin can sounding exhaust and RB seems to be the best bet.

 

Advice: the RB roadrace header is part specific so you need the parts to go onto it and so on.(presilencer and flanges are different).
IF you get the Collected header then you can at least connect the stock exhaust up..some way without having to worry about flanges.
I put a 3 inch RB on my S4 VERT (N/A) and it sounded great.
The Catback on the car with the Stock manifold and cat still sound good..better than stock.

Performance wise it is minimal gain between the 2 but the options of switching up your exhaust to something else down the road without selling the whole thing is why I got the RB Catback.
If you have ideas about going Turbo later,then I would get the RB TII catback..and then parts for the N/A up front.
If you go road race you would not have that luxury.

 

Thanks for the info. Ive been tentative to buy an exhaust becuase i have no idea if they would sound alright or not. And youtube videos arent always that great. Im looking to replace all of the exhaust so it seems that my best option would be the collected header and 3 inch system. Thanks again

 

I put a full Racing Beat Street Exhaust on my FB this summer.

I naively decided on that instead of the Road Race version as i "thought" i wouldn't ever want to do any power mods....and saving a few hundred $$$ seemed like the way to go......I was wrong!

My advice; assuming noise and emissions aren't an issue - get the best exhaust you can afford to support any future modifications. Buying then reselling and losing money each time sucks.

Agreed 100%! I cringe at the amount of money lost due to this.

 

Ive tried both of those exauhst systems personally i like the road race better i felt i got a little better throttle responce with it
