I'm in the process of rebuilding my transmission on S4 NA. It's just a simple mechanical work any one can do it, as long as you have the right tool. Now my question, what is the size of that nut on the main rear shaft? I'm trying to look for 43mm or 44mm at sears or Autozone but got no luck! If anybody knows the exact size so that I can cross reference it with standard size wrench since the FSM doesn't say sh*t about it. I think a close end offset wrench should do it.

 

Ok! I finally got it 1 5/8 was the best choice but I have to make a custom made tool. Thanks!
