rebuild question.

Hello guys my question is concerning what rebuild kit should I get? Is the master rebuild really worth it or can I get a lesser kit and reuse parts? The engine has 50k miles. And has low compression, the reason for the rebuild.

Thanks, kyle

don't buy anything until you crack it open and inspect the engine.
There is no sense in buying parts that you will not use.
Inspection of the engine will tell you exactly what you need and what kit you can opt for.

Yes that makes since and is the plan but I was just looking at kits. I guess the real question is, is there any parts like bearings, side seals ect that can be reused up to a certain mileage. Or just opt for everything new?

Again, you won't know until you tear it apart

So i recently got my tranny back from being rebuilt. I emailed ray and asked him for the stuff I needed for a rebuild on the transmission. Here is a copy of the invoice I got so you can see what parts I got from him... while it's waiting I have to decide what type of oil to use.... I forgot how much does it take again. Like 1.8quarts?
