okay i got an 91 rx7

but i noticed that i dont have a rear windshield wiper... why is that? was it optional? or did my car originally have a rear vent shade or something.... just wondering...

 

Some models didn't get a rear wiper. Check out the standard specs thread at the top of the section. Some of the pictures are down for the time being, but you can still view the '87 model info.

 

it was standard on some models and not on others, like my 86 gxl has the rear wiper while the 86 base model doesnt. you can always just buy a hatch with a rear wiper and run a wire to a switch somewhere but there really is no point, i very rarely use my rear wiper.
