CA rear housing cooling hose?

Hey I am pretty new to rotary engines and was wondering if the hose that goes from the rear housing to the throttle body is necessary or if i could cap off the two ports (on the throttle and housing)
If i do that what will it do if anything negative?
I was wondering mainly because the hose is such a pain to get on and off and right now i have it replaced with a piece of fuel line.

The normal path is water pump housing -> BAC valve -> thermowax (on the throttle body) -> rear housing. You can bypass the BAC, or the BAC and thermowax if you like. The BAC doesn't really need to be heated by coolant, and you won't see any change at all. But the thermowax is what is responsible for the 1500 RPM cold start idle. Without it, cold weather will make it difficult to maintain a steady idle speed if the engine is cold. You may find you have to hold the throttle for a short time until it smooths out.

Anyhow, bypassing directly from the water pump housing to the rear iron with a hose is going to be better than trying to plug the ports. Unless you're planning on welding them shut, or screwing some sort of plug in, it will be prone to failure. If your plug blows off, you could very easily overheat and damage the engine in no time at all.

will the fuel line that i have connecting the two hold until i have enough money to buy the part from either a dealer or mazdatrix

I agree I just did that delete I live in fl cold starts a lil rough... I took feul line and went from the back of the thermostat / water pump rear to that line in the rear house.. Works fine.. I spilled a good amount of coolant doin it.. So keep that in mind... o yea get some good hose clamps.. Too def hold the thottle for a lil mine likes to stall cold till it gets warm
